Environmental Scientist

Position Description

Spring Hill is seeking an Environmental Scientist to independently manage and carry out broad responsibilities in support of ecological restoration and water resources projects. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual seeking long-term growth opportunities. Remote work flexibility with infrequent travel for site visits and meetings in the region.

Primary Duties

  • Field work – wetland delineations, stream assessments, construction inspection

  • Technical writing – proposals, reports, permits, maps, figures, grant writing

  • Permit applications – municipal, E&S, PA DEP, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

  • Client coordination – project management/ support, attending or leading meetings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience preferred

  • MS4 permit compliance preferred

  • Wetland delineation & field work

  • Project management

  • Technical writing – reports, grants

  • ArcGIS or AutoCAD experience

  • Water quality modeling & sampling

  • Plant identification

  • Permitting and compliance:

  • PA DEP Ch. 102 & 105;

  • USACE / Section 404

  • Municipal Ordinances
